Default digital fuel pressure

How do you guys feel about using a digital read fuel pressure gauge over an analog. I am looking at a AEM (I have their AFR) but my concern was, with NUMBERS, if for some reason somthing was wrong and the pressure was falling quickly, I would not be able to accurately read the "changing" #s as well as you could see a needle. Would you accurate be able to see that it had fallen to say, 42 (bad) as compared to say 48 (not as bad) You certainly wouldn't want to "try again" to see what the # is.
And I know it has a "light sweep needle" but those are so broad, it covers about 5 psi
