Default what is the reason for this!?

so im taking the side moulding off my car and i get the passenger side of with no problems what so ever. the first piece i peel off on the drivers side shows me this! why would somebody have done this? and any advise on how much it will cost to fix? thanks

It was probably either a PDR access hole, or a hole someone drilled to pull a dent with for bodywork. Either way, it isn't something pleasant to find. It will need to be welded up and repainted if you want to run the car with no moldings.

yea i kinda thought that it was used for pulling a dent but what a great thing to find AFTER i had already removed the passenger side moulding! haha and i had a feeling something was going to happen

seems like an odd place for a PDR drill hole.

i have one on my pass side in the door jam which was used to fix a ding was a bit above that and also one close to the wheelwell about that height. the drill hole in the door jam is plugged with a rubber plug. it looks 100% factory.

i would disagree since the facory never put one there.

but, my car has one too and yes that hole looks to be from PDR work.
