Default 93-96 Tail light swap to 97-02

Can any one direct me to what I need to do to add the extra light neccessary to replace the old style tail lights on my 94 to the 97+ style?

I know its been covered but Im having absolutely no luck finding the info any where.

Thanks

I didn't know there was a difference besides the cover, aren't they a drop in replacement?

You have to swap the tail light wire harness along with the newer tail light housings. trace the lights back, you should be able to see where to disconnect them as a whole on each side.

yeah i would go to a junk yard and find the pigtails you need outta a 97+ lights... and if the lights are good get those too... if not your looking at 40 bucks a piece just for the light housing... good luck!!!

For the Firebirds it's a swap with no changes for the Camaro from what I've read there's a wiring change.

Take it easy

NO NO NO... adding the gay little yellow blinker in there is stupid... i think they look like ****.. the 93-96 lights look more low-profile.. but thats my opinion...

I TOTALLY AGREE!!

LS Tails look like ****. They don't flow with the lines at all, unlike the LT tails, which are just genius. No yellow on the back end!!

As far as I know the LT1 tails are what everyone wants on a Camaro.

Drew's link should have the lt1 camaro going to ls1 camaro tail light swap covered

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/97lights.htm

The web site below covers the ls1 camaro going to the lt1 tail lights. There might be an easier way but it's what I found searching the web quickly.

I did the swap and I had to wire in a second large socket on each side. Dont remeber the specifics but a look at a wiring diagram and some basic electronics knowledge is all you need.
