Are We Quick to Fight?
I usually hang out in the Florida Section, but I'm originally from Boston, so this question applies to ALL northeasterners.
Are people (especially guys) from the NE really quick to fight? I've always had a really short fuse, but lately I've been noticing a lot of hotheaded people from MA, NY, NJ, PA, MD, etc. in the media. It seems almost inevitable that if we're put in the right situation, we choose to fight rather than walk away. In fact, I don't know one NE'er that is passive. Everybody I know loves to fight.
Is this a demographic thing, or am I just reading into it?

If you have a problem motherf#@ker I will kick your *** bitch!! This is a total bullshit post dumb ***, this stupid **** pisses me off !!!! I will stomp your *** for this ****.
I think it is due to the population density, people have a lot less tolerance for each other, and the fast pace lifestyle of the big metropolitan areas are responsible. The more people, the more ********. I grew up in Baltimore so I should know.

Never had a short fuse. But the rest of my family does...Including my 2 year old son! Has to be in the genes.
I'm slow to anger, but when I do cash it in on someone. They definitely get paid with interest!!

you don't like it go the f*ck back there!
lol
too many people in a small area is my guess, no patience.
crazy how your surroundings affect your behavior.

Let's not forget.. the whole Northeast isn't super crowded... except for 2 spots in PA, we have lots of room to roam... and therefore, are typically more patient.
Of course, if you DO raise a fist, you may end up looking at the business end of something nastier.

The answer is simple, too many stupid people that hate stuck up people and alot of stuck up people that hate stupid people. So in theory, everyone hates each other. The others left over in the area just hate everybody to fit in. I think it makes sense, but I happen to be one of the stupid people F this, I am heading West to hippie land lol.

I think the whole thing with the northeast isn't that we are quick to fight, more that we hold our ground and aren't afraid to mix it up. I have never gone out "looking for a fight" in my life, but I have gone places knowing there could be one and it didn't bother me in the least.
It is a subtle, but I believe important difference.
