I'm thinking that your looking for 8's. that setup is crazy.

Is it a street/strip car or all out race?

Time will tell I guess.. I've got to figure this MSD 7530 box out and play with the fogger of course. Taking baby steps hoping not to hurt anything right off the bat! lol We mainly run 1/8th mile so I'm just hoping for mid to high 5's which would be around high 8s I guess. Might go back to a slick and put some more gear in it. Who freakin knows man..

I would be happy with 8's, but more worried about 1/8th mile racing around here. The car is still fully streetable with all lights working, power windows, etc but 5 gallons of race gas will only get you so far!! lol I do plan to drive it to some of the local cruise-ins around town.

Its a very simple setup with some outdated stuff as far as high performance LSX stuff goes.. AFR 225s, hydraulic cam, etc. If I had the money to go solid roller with some high flowing heads I'd be stoked, but if I'm gonna spend that kind of money I'm just gonna put a big block in it.

Killer setup. I want to put a carb and a digital 7 box in my sled so bad it hurts... but one of the series I want to run won't allow it, has to stay EFI

Looks killer though, can't wait to see the results.

What did you change when ya went to the carb? I'm very intrested to see the before and after results.

Dude I have had so many problems with this car that the before and after results won't be a very good comparison because I have changed EVERYTHING almost. The car went 6.40s with the old GMPP/Accell 4150 throttle body with a 100 shot, 11.8:1 compression, a th400, a tight 4200 stall and 3.50 gears.. And that was with 1-3/4-1-7/8 stepped dynatech headers and full 4" exhaust.

Now it has 12.8:1 compression, the super victor, a 950 Ultra Hp carb, a powerglide with 2.02 1st gear, 4.10 rear gear, 4500 stall, full 2" Kooks headers, bullet collector mufflers, and minus a good bit of weight upwards of 200lbs if I had to guess. (took out the heavy corbeau seats and put in 1 kirkey seat, stripped all the wiring out and the cd player and 2 speakers, cut the cowl panel out, went to a lift off hood, smaller radiator, went from th400 to the glide, took off all the 4" exhaust ypipe-borla muffler-etc, removed the stock metal tank and put in a 5 gal cell, removed the 1gal cell and holley pump for the nitrous stand alone, tossed the horns and fog lights, fuse boxes, brake booster, no pcm, etc)

The glide might hurt it a little bit, but the weight savings, the looser converter and the extra HP SURELY it will run faster on the same 100 shot. So, I'm gonna start with 100hp pills in the fogger just to see how much difference all this bullshit truly made.

Why did you go ditch the TH400 for the glide?

Cause I was having problems out of my TH400 and I had a brand new glide sittin here... Glide = more power to the ground and less weight.

Was the install difficult? I am debating between a glide/TH400 after I strip the car and get the cage/mini-tub. Keep us updated on your results and which you prefer.
