Default LS6 Intake Question

If you deleted your egr using block off plates did you get the car tuned immediately or wait? Did the car run like **** with the SES light on before tune. I'm going to be installing a ported throttle body and ls6 intake soon and just want to know what i'm in for. I would prefer to wait on the tune because I plan on putting in headers and a tr224 this summer.

egr and air does nothing for performance, if you block them off right there wont be any problems but codes. which do nothing but annoy you.

I just didn't know if the computer would go into limp mode due to the egr being gone.

It won't go into limp mode, just set the SES. I don't think there are any other issues with doing it. Some codes will make it run worse, such as slow 02 reporting; makes it run in OL which isn't good unless it's tuned for it. AIR/EGR shouldn't cause any problems.
