The LT1 got a new best Sat.
I got the Strange brakes finished up Friday night and the car out for a little test drive..all seemed good. I did discover I need a little more trimming on the lower a-arms at the track... no damage done though.
The car was ran in full street trim with a race weight of approx 3400
( was 3500 before brakes/spindles)
10.76@124.6
1.41 60 ft..thanks Yank
still on the 275/60/15 Radials
I was wanting to go 125mph with this combo before the end of the season and almost did so the first time out.
I hope to change a few things and be back outnext sunday for further testing NA.
I'm very happy with this combo so far considering the stock ported H/I and not being all that light.

thanks guys
you all have bad *** cars as well
plans before next race day is to put the car in a bit more of race mode :
-pull the catback and run a dump off the Y ( approx 50# loss ).
-pull pass. seat ( 28# loss )
-run a short belt for no PS ( no loss )
-try a 28" ET Drag ( approx 25# loss )
-pull bottle ( 25# loss..was full )
I can not touch the race weight for the shoot out, so I have to find little things to get me closer to the 3100#.
+ we are going to build a new induction hopefully before the weekend which will go over the radiator and into the nose with a large filter. I should see some good air and gains being that I have no bumper support and the grill is wide open. This would be similar to a LS1 setup + a FTRA, but even better.
I am really liking this NA setup and going this fast.
The N20 is setup, but need to get it on the dyno to test first. I'm also thinking about running the NA class at the LTX shootout now which is pushing me to not worry about the spray at the moment.
The spray will come for sure after the shoot out and be well into the 9's

-short belt gave no gain for me or my dad at the track back to back runs...mph was identical...might be different with the 396 though...
-going from slick to a drag radial was about a wash even though the slick was lighter it has more rolling resistance on the big end...so what i lost in the added weight from the radial i gained on the top end over the slick...
awesome times larry that car is really going to wake up with the new induction...

Chris..good info and got your message today
I have read the same on the tires and figured give it a shot. The induction should be a nice gain and I will talk to you about my dad's car at some point.
Tom..this sunday should be a blast

thanks everyone
I do think I can get a .5x out of it with this setup and the little tweaks. I towed it to and from since I have been sick and just did not feel like driving it.
