my dad has just bought a 2007 corvette 6.0L with over 40,000 miles. we've noticed that when your going down the road at a constant speed that the traction controll wants to kick in and feels like its applying the brakes, but when you turn the traction controll off everything is fine. could this be a short? or something wrong with the pcm? any help would be great

I've seen this a lot lately. On both C5's and C6's. You need to check the codes and see if you have the code for the steering position sensor. If you do then it needs to be replaced and it is located on the lower half of the steering column at the firewall on the interior side.

Also make sure the factory size tires are on it front & rear. If the rears are different than stock they might be shorter overall than the fronts and that can cause an issue when TCS is turned on. The rear needs to be at least .4" taller than the fronts for the TCS system to be happy when cruising.

Most common is the steering issue so check that out for sure.
