Default Another trip to the track completed!

Went back to the track a week later after adding a MSD 6A-L Box and MSD Blaster Coil... Also.. the clutch is SHOT now..
Last weekend I ended up with:
.7892---RT
1.95----60ft
5.31----330ft
8.09----1/8
88.22---1/8 MPH
10.48---1000ft
103.85--1000ft MPH

This week I got a:
.5666---RT
1.92----60ft
5.25----330ft
8.01----1/8
89.48---1/8 MPH
10.36---1000ft
105.34--1000ft MPH

I was ok that that.. and I stil have HORRIBLE plug wires to deliver the new Ignition set-up.. should have a set of Taylor 8mm here in a week and a Ram Powergrip clutch in about 2 if things go smoothly...

Goin for 9s Cam Only!(1000ft)

I believe if you multiply 1/8 mile by 1.6 you get close to 1/4 mile. Some cars will do slightly better than that but seems to be a good rule for street cars.

It will, even with those crappy 1.9x 60fts., those 8.0s your doing should be in the 12.3/12.4 range, you should trap in the 112-113 MPH range, thats good enough for 12.0s (maybe 11.9s) IF you can get that 60ft. down in the 1.6s, those 1.9s are killing you, don't know what you have for a rearend or gear, just keep working on those 60fts.

I went 10.19 @ 105 in the 1000ft. @ ran what i did in my sig., so there may even be a 12.3 in yours, & thats with that 1.9 60ft., not too shabby.

Most 1000ft. runs will ET 2 seconds more in the 1/4, so i'd say your 10.3 will be a 12.3 in the 1/4, then tack on about 10 MPH from the 1000ft. too the 1/4, now this is just an advarange, but its very close. I remember on my last outing, i went 8.2s & went 12.51.

I don't know. There is an ET page for the Impalas and the fastest 8.0 1/8th car is 12.4 in the quarter, most are 12.6-7.

The 1/8th mile mph points to low 12s though.

For 11.9 my car does the 1/8th 7.5 at 90mph.

For a 12.09 @ 115.5 run I did years ago I ran 7.76 @ 90mph with a 1.78 60' so I would say capricemgr is on to something...

This one here seems to be pretty accurate for me when I use it.

http://www.wallaceracing.com/etcalc.php

With a good 60' I think the car has a 12.40-12.50 in it. According to that calculator you car seems to be laying down a little on the top end. Have you had it tuned?

Suspension mods to bring down those 60' times will help out a lot.
