Default Best Muffler only for deep sound

Okay I only have the budget for a muffler right now and I want a little more enjoyment out of my daily driving with my Firebird.

So Im wondering what muffler will give me the best sound for the money. And for reference I think magnaflow and hooker catbacks sound great while I like the GMMG catback the best. (I plan on using GMMG when I get some money)

I was thinking either A magnaflow or hooker aerochamber. Any input would be appreciated since all Ls1sounds.com has is the catback on stock systems (and no just mufflers for reference so I dont know how much deeper and louder a catback is over a muffler only)

I love my Aerochamber but they make one called Flomax IIRC that is awesome too. I think it flows slightly better than the AC also.

magnaflows are deep. but for the price you can get most catbacks you could have a nice TD setup with some dynomax bullets. thats about as deep as you can get imo.

Just install a cut out and be done with it. You're not going to get the sound you're looking for w/o headers and/or cam. Trust me; my car orig had the SLP D/D, and i got rid of that for the maganflow b/c i wanted a deeper sound. Everyone told me to save money and get a cutout, i didn't listen and 2 yrs later i'm still buying a cutout. $300 for a cutout is cheaper then $700 for magnaflow (+ cutout, which is what I ended up doing), than $3,000 for Kooks LT's, catted y, and cam+tune.

My camaro has pacesetter lts, and a qtp electric cutout. The cutout is way to loud for daily driving. I also am not looking for anywhere near the noise or rumble of headers and ypipe nor do I have the money. Just a deep and audible. Like they should have come with from the factory like the fifth gen mustang. The exhaust is the only bone I have to pick with GM about the last gen Fbodies. Coin flip between hooker aerochamber and some bullets

No offense but i would never put bullets on a car with bolt ons. Just too loud and too unmuffled

Still on the fence about magnaflow or hooker. Help me decide. Someone told me that the hooker aerochamber is no louder than stock. Anyone know? Dynomax bullet isnt out of the question either. Also keep in mind I have a regular TA not a WS6 so I have the the regular non-WS6 exhaust too

Here is a sound clip of my hooker catback. It's louder then a stock catback but is one of the quietest at idle compared to other catbacks.

I may have missed it but is the car stock? Is it still running manifolds and cats? If still running cats a bullet, or loudmouth style exhaust will have a very deep sound.

I vote for Magnaflow, I had it once before. Sounds sweet with no cats!

Are you talking about the Aerochamber? It says here http://www.ls1sounds.com/faq.htm that the Aerochamber is rated louder than most catbacks. Unless you're talking about the Hooker Maxflow.

I can't say for sure about the other mufflers, but I don't think the magnaflow will be loud enough with the rest being stock ( had a magnaflow just muffler put on my 99 TA could barely tell a difference) now full exhaust, no cats, magnaflow catback on my 99 Z28 sounds sweet. I think a cutout would be you're best bet unless you want to ditch the tips then that opens you're options up on mufflers.
