There are a few vendors that can accomplish that. You should be looking for a trans that has hardened shafts, 34 or 36 element sprag, and extra intermediate and direct frictions. The rest is pretty much basic stuff.

I like to think that I do. Won the very first all motor LSX shoot out with a 400 and came close this last past year. But my friends jakeshoe,chris718, vince at FLT, and performabuilt build great 400's as well. I'm not a sponsor yet and this is in no way ment to be an advertisement.

Thumbs up Photo's from FLT

Here are some pictures of a FLT Th400. This particular unit was built with a JW bell, Coan RMVB with a pro-tree brake, billet input shaft, sprag style direct drum, billet forward clutch hub, billet mainshaft, 4 intermediate frictions, 6 direct frictions, 6 forward frictions and a electronic speedo. Sorry I did not take photo's of the internals of the unit while I built it but here are the pic's of the finished product. If you like what you see please feel free to give us a call to discuss your build. Vince

Our name implies what we do. We have TH400's rated to 1800 horsepower. Theres a lot more to do in a 400 than put a sprague drum in it. We offer vasco shafts, different gear ratios, ultrabells, full rolerized,6 clutch intermediate pack, etc. As Vince has shown that is a nice unit. We only build full competition units. What is this unit going into? How heavy. If you are making this much power a glide might be the way to go. Post your combo and lets look at it.

Carl Rossler makes the best t400 hands down, no tricks/gimmicks. Carl is the nicest person you'll deal with.

Rossler Transmission, Girard Ohio.

If a t400 is not enough he sells a 210 that can handle anything.

Looks like a picture taken from Hughes! Have any of your own? Might want to get rid of that horrible picture of the TCI TH350 as well.
