Post Patriot LS6 Heads with 6.0 liter iron block

I've a 99 Z28 M6 with all bolts-on, and I'm planing to get PP LS6 heads 59cc with 231/237, 598/595, 112 cam. also, I'm thinkn' of changin' the LS1 stock block to the 6.0 liter iron block.

I'll take out the crankshaft and connecting rod of the 6.0 liter block and install my stock from my engine, and grinding the block to 30 and replacing the pistons to forged steel. So, I'm wondered about a few things:
1- Will the H/C work with 6.0 block?
2- How about the oil pan.
3- what else should I get or change?
4- How about the piston clearance.

What do you guys think? Should I do it or not?

Everything will work, but why not upgrade the con rods while you are in there? This is the failure point on most LS1 type engines. If you get new rods, many of the sponsors will have the parts you need readily available. But if you want pistons that are 4.030 to fit a stock rod, you will have to order them for sure. Not too many folks changing to a 4.030 piston without changing rods.
