Default ATI Superdampner removal

I'm gonna do a cam swap. I was wondering if anyone knew the proper procedure for pulling an ATI Superdampner. I know they sell a removal/install kit for $150. Is this really needed??

Any and all help appreciated, I don't want to screw this thing up.

Thanks in advance.
