well with a spun bearing you wnt get a whole lot for it.. I opted for a new LT1 crate motor for mine when I spun my #1 rod bearing and my one main bearing.. I would just do a total rebuild.

As for my old block its sitting in my garage getting ready to go to the machine shop for a new look

Total rebuild and BUILT up would be what I'd do if on a budget

If money isn't an issue, I'd just get a brand new built 355 longblock, but sadly this isn't a perfect world

well dont really have the money to do a total rebuild, just bought a dd car while i figure out what im going to d, im thinking about just selling the motor for 400 to 500 and just buying a motor for 1200 it would be cheaper.

Give me the number of the guy who buys your motor with a spun bearing for 400-500 bucks please. I have all kinds of things I'd like to sell him.

You're best bet is to pick up a low mile short block or a new crate engine and swap it in.

If you have another car to drive, I would try to rebuild it.

I'm thinking you won't get that much for a 'broken' LT1 unless it has internal mods done to it, which seemingly it doesn't. You'd be better off spending that $1200 on getting yours rebuilt. I had my GEN I shortblock done for $900, didn't include any head cleaning/prep but that'd run $300~ I'd suspect. Mine was a .040 so that'd give you a 357ci LT1 for the cost of a stock LT1. I didn't even goto a very cheap shop either heh
