suspect head gasket???

Default suspect head gasket???

do you guys think its the right one?...this is what they told me would fit it

my car is a 98, and these are 243..

it dont seem like its the right one

look at the old gasket mating surface compared to the new one

Why risk it after all that work? Get the GM MLS gaskets and be sure.

those look like mls gaskets, they will work. the 98s were graphite and not very good. they were needed because the 98s had an indention that had to be sealed. the 243s dont have the indention so you can use the mls gaskets. those are how mine looked.

yeah they are mls..thanks guys

one other thing..i keep getting coolant in the bolt holes, even after i clean them out..im i not cleaning them properly or is there something else i have to drain?

i used a paper towel and compressed air in a can..

they have allot of coolant in them, i used a compressor to blow allot of it out. then i went in with a paper towel to get the rest.

if you dont have a compressor you can get a couple cans of compressed air.

Yeah..I got some more "air in a can"..It seems its more in the back bottom bolt hole by#8 and #7 cylinder's..The others are dry..It dosen't matter if the coolant is still in the water jackets right?..I mean i got most of it out, but im not compressing water jackets right?.
