Question new gears or not??

I'm getting the bearings replaced soon in the rearend. The question is should I get new gears (3.73's) while I'm at it? I'm already paying for the labor, so I would just be looking the cost of parts for the gears. I was thinking of going with 3.73's to keep it interstate friendly, since I do a good bit of driving from Houston to Baton Rouge.

My car is a 2002 Z28 w/ Borla catback, MTI lid it any of that matters.

What do you all think I should do?

Thanks,
Tim

If its an auto with 273 gears I would go to 342s, If it has 323s in it already I would leave it alone. If you do not race alot and do alot of highway driving leave it alone.

Hey man I would defiantly go 3.73s if its an a4, if its an m6 i would leave it alone because with 3.73s you want see much of a gain over the stock 3.42s. To notice a gain with an m6 you would have to do 4.10s which arent very strong because of the pinion size. I love my 3.73s and I didnt sacrafice much driveability. At 60mph im @ 2050 RPM. Good Luck man.
