ya im doing an opti swap for a buddy and he is cheap to say the least and doesnt wanna buy a new cap i knew the vented and non vented but i wasnt sure if you could swap the cap anyway so i dont have to have this car in my way anymore since he wont spend the money

thats what i was thinkin i just didnt wanna be the first one to try it and it go all bad on a car im workin on plus my buddy wont spend any money he has 500 projects and never has got one done and the car im putting the opti in is really nice i just dont get some people lol

I'm 95% sure you cannot. Otherwise you'd be able to do the reciprocal and make a 93-94 vented (MSD excluded) with out having to get the timing cover and vented Opti unit.

Well take the old Vented cap and put it on the 93 94 Opti and let us know If it's that easy to vent our Opti's w/o buying the MSD unit, that'd make a lot of us happier lol

Caps will swap. It's just having (or not having) the vent.
