i was told its not illegal to have it as long as the bottle is turned off. if they look and its on and you have total access to using it with the flip of a switch you can get an illegal equipment ticket.

Run it in the spare tire area with a auto bottle opener.... Fits perfect, no one sees it, and you can easily turn it off with a push of a button.

I'm sure there is some sort of law about having a compressed gas cylinder in the car. I may be wrong though.

Default My experience

I got pulled over about six months ago with my bottle between the rear seats and the State Trooper acknowledge the bottle being in there but thats it. I got the whole "this is a nice car and i seeyour nitrous bottle back there, but there is a time and place for speed and this aint one of them" speeches. but he was cool about it even though he did give me a ticket. So far as the law against the N20 i dont think there is such a law. My .02$

Different states have different laws if I'm not mistaken. I believe some states do not approve of having the bottle in the vehicle at all, some just require the bottle to be turned off, so allow it in the vehicle but require that the line not be connected to the bottle....I've always wondered myself

In GA it can't be hooked up and functioning.

§ 40-8-10. Operation of motor vehicles with nitrous oxide; penalty for violation.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person on a public road to drive a passenger car, excluding a motor home, which supplies the motor vehicle's combustion engine with nitrous oxide unless the system supplying nitrous oxide is made inoperative by disconnecting the line feeding nitrous oxide to the engine or by removing the container or containers of nitrous oxide from the vehicle.
(b) Any person who violates subsection (a) of this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor

Laws in states certainly vary. In PA i am pretty sure you can have the bottle in your car and it can be hooked up, there's no laws on that. If you get pulled over for speeding or anything related you will then get a very severe ticket if the main line feed is hooked up. Its pretty much the same as the GA rules listed above.

I personally dont use it on the street and i don't recommend anyone too. Drag racing has a very bad name because of people who are irresponsible on the street, with or without the spray. I expect all of you to be responsible on the street. It always seems to be the jackass reckless driver who survives a big accident and not the mother and her children. Be safe, be responsible, id hate to see anything happen to anyone on here.
