Back in the day, they were a great bang for the buck option, which is why I bought them. I have no complaints. There is a wealth of information on MAC vs. Long Tube power...doa search and be overwhelmed.
If you get a deal on a used set of MACs, then go for it. If you're buying new, it's about the same amount of $ for longtubes.

I would go ahead and pick them up for 160, better than the stock y and manifolds. I looked on Macs website and they only sell two header sizes for these cars, regular and 1 3/4 and I would ASSuME both were mid lengths, but who knows.

They were the first set of F body headers I bolted up about 3 years ago. For some cheapos, they do a pretty good job. I have them. Although they would not of been my first choice, they are going to stay for a while. They will eventually get replaced by a set of Kooks

Man, this is the first thread that people weren't bashing MAC headers right off the bat!

The bolded above is the answer. They are a great header but if you are not getting a GREAT deal get longtubes.

Search for my dyno thread, I made 400RWHP with MACs and a TR230 cam with stock heads.
