Default OK, ordered some parts.......

Got the official start on my first Gen III build, forged rods and pistons are on their way, as well as a new Melling oil pump. Going to use a iron 5.3 block and stock crank to be a stock displacement 5.7. Heads are going to be GM's CNC ported LS2 or Dart Pro 1 225's, depends on what deal I can find. Cam will be solid roller, around upper-250's mid-260's @ 0.050, .620-.650 lift, with adjustable valvetrain. Intake will be GM single plane with 2-in. tapered spacer starting out (already have it) then trying the E-Super Vic topped with a 750 HP Holley (maybe later 850) on alcohol. Will use Distributor conversion front cover (already have it) with MSD electronics. Looking for nice mid- to top-end power, motor's going in a dirt modified on 8-in. tires.

Is it too much to think this could make 600hp at the crank? Most of these kind of cars in this area are in the 370-410ci and 600-650hp range, so this thing needs to make good power and be drivable on a slick track, if it drives like a turd nobody else will want to build one, so this enging needs to be good out-of-the-box. Any suggestions from you guys?
