Stereo & Electronics - Internal lights issue

So I have my Monsoon system set up in my 95' Bonneville from an 00 Trans Am. When I plug in the cd changer to the Monsoon CD Changer, everything works fine but when I turn my internal lights on (dash, etc) from turning on the headlights, the internal lights short. Unplugging the changer fixes this. Thoughts?
