Default L-Terminal Error Alt Not Charging

I am getting a P1637 error on a Camaro LS conversion. It uses only 1 red wire to control the charging. On the schematics the V8's show it going to the dash gauges, etc. On the V6 it goes directly to the PCM has anybody done this before? I believe the original goes to the charging light and it needs this connection to work. On conversion harnesses I would be interested on how this is handled.

If the alternator is not wired to the PCM, you have this code programmed out. On the last two conversions I did, I wired the alternator to the factory light circuit and had it programmed out. If you want the PCM controlling the alternator, you can check the sticky on FAQ's and find the pin location for your donor PCM pin that controls the L field.

What year PCM are you using for the LS1?
