Default what heads came on a 2002 z28

just like the title says, what are the stock heads on a 2002 Z28? ive heard either the 241's or the 243's. so which one is it or am i not even close.

ive also heard that the 2002 f-bodys came with pretty much the ls6 engine except the cam. is this true??

help me out thanks

The only similarity to an LS6 motor that the '02 LS1 has is the intake manifold and some had the LS6 block as well. The true LS6 has a more aggresive cam and the 243 heads which outflow the 241's. Also the LS6's have slightly larger injectors (28.8#).

ok thanks guys.

so on a similar topic....

i am looking for a pretty mild cam and doing a set of rr's.

i want something around 380 rwhp. would the ls6 cam do that for me or what would you guys recommend for me?

the reason i only want around that power is so i dont have to worry about me 10 bolt breaking.

TR or TSP 224 would be best on a 112lsa nice choppy idle and good dd cam that makes great power

Id run the VRx3 from vengeance and you can make that easy. And im guessing by rr your meanin roller rockers and if your guna go with a 224 0r 228 cam id spend the money on a ported throttle body or somthing else

yes hardened pushrods and new springs are both needed.

You could run comp 918s with that cam and prolly be safe with 7.45 length pushrods
