Default Gurus help please (yes Cam question)

I have a 228R cam which Ive like for a while but want something bigger to get me into the 11s for the 1/4mile, my car is daily drivin, with me in it it weighs 3800lbs, I have a yank 4000ss stall, moser 12bolt w/ 373 ( 410 maybe when I get back) Would like to be cam only in the 11s, tires are 255/45/17 for the street and 255/50/16 for drags. wondering if it would be better to get an off the shelf grind to have the choppy idle and great power and torqe or get a custom made
Thanks for any input
Mike.

That is a good cam, IMO work on your suspension to cut a good 60' and if you want more power invest in a set of heads. (Even stock 243 milled to 61cc would be better).
Camis a good street cam and has mid 11s potential once setup properly.
Also loose some weight on that car.

it has good drivability, and street manners, sounds well, had fun with it, just wanting something new i guess, predetorz, i have done some suspension so far, hotchkis lcas coilovers, bmr sfcs, torquearm, hotchkis front and rear swaybars, i need the weight loss the car is almost 3500, more like 3489ish.

What I would do to enhance your setup to reach your goals:
Loose the cats
Loose the Flowblaster
Loose weight
Run light wheels (skinnies and ET drags (stiffwalls)
Propotioning valve on brakes (to get higher rpm launch)
Custom Ram Air
Ported TB

I had the same set up you did except i had heads and a pt4000 not the ss4000. I ran a best of 11.2 N/A.

Im with predator-z on this one. LOOSE them cats, flow master, and get you some light weight wheels. Just on loosing them cats and the blaster you could pick up 20rwhp. At the least you could just put a cutout in before the cats. If all else fails put the bottle on it and you will make your 11 second run.
