I've been running Masterpower turbos for a few years now. Have had no failures and I drive my stuff ALL the time. MPT70's are about $600 and T76's are about $775.

I really liked the MP70 that I ran for the last six months and it works good on a 5.3.

I ran an MPT-70 for over a year when my motor was stock and I was broke... 8 psi and an ebay BOV that didn't work correctly... That turbo took some serious abuse. I made about 500 rwhp, and when I removed the turbo to sell it, it was still perfectly balanced, ready to go... Sold it to a buddy for $300 or $250... Don't remember exactly, but that's a awesome deal for a turbo!

i really want to throw together a 5.3 build and put in a iroc or something like that, i wanted to build up a sbc but with the tunability issue of forced induction in one of those, ima stick to LS power and throw a mp turbo in it with a ls6 cam in my next 3rd gen i buy, my team wants to go na with nitrous until we get the club car off the ground, but im already embedding the seed of FI into them....awsome build guys...i knew there was people around here doing FI setups without dumping in 10+grand.....i saw this same setup in hotrod magazine a while back and i was amazed on how well that fairlane did

Parish's Fairmont is a beast with hardly any money invested. He is the Godfather of cheap turbo builds but it shouldn't be too hard to replicate his build. The MP70 is a good all around turbo with quick spool, cheap and makes good power. I haven't used the mp76 but I hear it makes really good power and still spools well.

i dont know man its like when i see build like these its just so much more intresting, than seeing a build with somebody with unlimited funds.....maybe if i can scramble some more money ill get a 2nd gen and build my own f-bomb minus one turbo. and the top of the line parts..lol my goal is to do a wheelie stand in dirt and chop somebody's head...
