Currently I own a beautiful 2001 Performance Red Mustang GT. On looks alone, everytime that I take her out I get compliments. As far as mods go, I have a Mac Cat back; an X Pipe, 4:10 Gears and Summitomo tires. I live in Brooklyn, N.Y.; therefore, I don't usually come across many American Muscle cars. My car is usually driven on the weekends.

A couple of months ago, I was on the highway. It was a bright sunny day. I was feeling good, my car was looking good and sounding loud and throaty when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, this black scary looking car flew by me. It went by so fast that I didn't even recognize what it was. I tried to catch up but couldn't because he was way to fast. Now come on guys lets be honest a GT is a pretty fast car but this SOB completely blew my doors off. A mile or so up, whilst sitting in traffic I saw the black scary car. I was able to pull up next to him and I asked him what he was driving because honestly I didn't recognize it. He laughed and said it's a WS6.

Since then I've been trying to learn as much about the WS6 as possible. I'm confused about something, is there a difference between the LS1 and WS6? If it's such a good car, why is it no longer in production?

Damn, as fast as my car is, that WS6 left a bad taste in my mouth. I WANT TO BUY A WS6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But seriously, I've only seen around 2 or 3 of them in my neck of the woods and I haven't seen any Dealers that are selling them. What I did notice is that they're pretty expensive! Maybe one day, Santa will leave the keys to a 2002 WS6 under my tree. Oh well!

Nice car yourself man (even for a stang ) The LS1 is the engine in the 98+ F-bodies. A WS6 is roughly the bird's equivalent of the Camaro SS. Z28s, SSs, T/As, WS6s, and Formulas all hail with the power of the LS1. The difference between a TA and a WS6 is in the body appearence, suspension package and a few other things. You'll notice the massive hood as obvious feature on the WS6 (plus the badge). :usa:

A WS6 is just a Trans Am with this option package.
WS6 package includes 17" wheels and tires, performance exhaust, suspension upgrades, Ram Air induction, and if you get the 6 speed I beleive it automatically comes with the Hurst shifter. Mine did. But I don't have it anymore. Sold it for a vette!:D My WS6 had 336 HP at the wheels with just a lid and exhaust. I say ditch the stang and get one! You pick up a gently used one for not too much money.

Is this what you saw?

As I said in your duplicate post in the other section...

ROTFL ... what road where you on, I think that was me.

I was doing a fun little run the other night, and I think I passed a red stang ... I didn't get a chance to look at the badgings as I streaked by, but I figured it was a 6, since 99% of the ones I see are.

Btw, you should come out towards the island some more ... Saturday nights lots of people gather at DPA (rt.231) and sunday nights alot of people at OBI (oak beach inn ... just got torn down, but where it used to be. its on ocean parkway). Theres also a great car show at baldhill on tuesdays and thursdays, from like 6 - 10pm.

If you wanna pop by any of these things, I'll meet you up there and you can check out the car.

Welcome to the board.

Hey xphantomws6x you wise ass, that probably was you. I was on the Belt, near Exit 1. Actually, I wouldn't mine hooking up with you. Like I said, I haven't seen many WS6's around and I would love to see what it could do.

Humm, I'm not sure if that was me. I was out visiting a friend of mine in NJ a month or two ago, but I gotta shitty memory.

Either way- tomorrow I'm goin to CT to get my car re-edit'd, so you better watch out! haha jk.

I might head up to one of those places I mentioned next Sat or Sun, I'll throw you a PM if I remember.
