Default How to Repair Plastic Pannels?

My car has had a dent on my front bumper since I bought it and it's starting to annoy me now. How do you fix or repair the bumper? Because it is plastic so you probably couldn't just pull it out. Anybody knows aside from buying a new bumper?

if its just a dent then you can sand and fill it with some plastic filler. Its a 2 part epoxy filler that works just like bondo, but its flexable. If its cracked as well then you will have to do some surgery and/or plastic weld.

Hello, it depends on how deep the dent is. Like torque junky stated your going to have to use a flexible filler or a two part epoxy. You can heat the bumper up and push the dent out from the back to minimize the amount of filler you will need. You can use a heat gun, heat lamp or setting it out in the sun for awhile will soften up the bummper enough to push the dent out.

yeah its really big to the point where I couldn't just fill it or anything. But once plastic heats up does it go back to its original form easily?

Yes when you heat it, it will be very flexible. You just want to make sure that when you pull it back out not to pull it further out than it originally was. In other words pull it out so that you create a slight low spot and fill it once it cools. Heating and pulling it will create distortion and you are going to have to use at least some filler to get it nice and straight again.
