Default steering wheel radio controls

Whats up guys-- got 2 questions for yall both dealing with the radio controls on my steering wheel(i have a 99 trans am). #1-the light went out on the left side set of controls, i took it out and opened it up and was wondering if anyone new if the bulb was replaceable or do i have to buy a whole new unit, and #2 after getting the unit out i am unable to get it back in b/c the wiring harness is so short, if anyone has any info on either of these matters i would appreciate the help. Thanks

There is several people over at www.ls1.com that have replaced the lights. I believe they are LEDs, not bulbs. I don't have it right now, but there is a link to a page that runs your through the process. It includes pictures. Sorry I'm not more help, but I know it can be done.
