i have seen/heard that sbc truck headers will work for a turbo lt1 build. can anyone confirm this?

In an F-Body? If so, I assume you're asking about shorties? If not, then yes round port SBC headers fit over LT1 D-port.

You have to be careful though, if you look closely at the bottom of the header it won't be sitting completely on the lt1 head and can blow out the header gasket very very easily in a turbo build. Percy's gaskets won't fix this issue either.
