K&N cai, SLP cai, or other?
So I got the lt4 kit all finished up and now it's time for all the other things I told myself I would do after the install was complete. I'm sure they are fairly similar, but from the searching i've done it seems the slp doesn't fit well, but it does look better. Any thoughts from those who have both or any others. I also found during a few searches that the moroso is a pita to fit well. Pics of your setups would be nice also. Thanks! Also, I don't really feel like chopping up the hood for a lid.

i have have the SLP and the fit is fine, looks good, the one downside is when you do take the filters off for cleaning its in your best interest to take the plastic panels off from the underside of the car, and take the filters off from there, otherwise if you try to pull the whole works out the top you will end up damaging those filters
others will tell you another downside of the slp is that its metal, thus suseptible to heat soak, while it will get pretty warm on a hot day with the engine off, once you start it up it cools off pretty dang quick

I haven't been to the track since I put in all the new stuff, but the best I could get out of her (I only made three passes last summer) with the 235/50/16's on it, and bone stock down to the paper filter was a 11.7 with a 2.2 60ft in the 1000ft. Hoping for much better times this year, but even with my slow times I still out ran an 03 gt 5spd with my 11.7. Best he could do was an 12.3...ha!
