Saturday May 9th,

The Houston Airport System will host the Aeros & Autos at Ellington Airport. This annual family-friendly community event will feature static military aircraft displays, an aircraft fly-in, a silent auction, give a ways, food, live entertainment, and a car show. Trophies will be awarded for the car show top 20, the best engine, best interior, best paint and best of show. Proceeds from this show will benefit the Texas Lions Camp; an organization focused on assisting physically disabled, hearing/vision impaired and diabetic children from the State of Texas, and Helping a Hero; an organization that assists severely injured military personnel and their families from the War on Terror.

Car Registration will be $25 which includes 1 general addmission (Driver). General Admission is $5. You will get 1 free 4x6 photo of your car with an F4 Phantom plus a goodie bag with an event t-shirt. Registration begins and gates open at 8:00 a.m. All registration is done the day of the event. Great to here some LS1 people plan on coming. I have had ALOT of people say they are coming. Now if it really turns out this way then please be patient coming in and getting pictures. It will take a little while. We will have some real neat displays this year but the key is it will only get better. This will be an annual event so please remember to let me know the good the bad and the ugly of the event so we can make it better.

Yes on both parts. We will be printing out the 4x6's and have a place to pick them up. At which time you can order larger prints up to a poster.

I'll try and show up with my mis-matched wheels and squeaky breaks..hopefully Big Red will be nice and back to show-quality before that but if not, maybe i'll just hitch a ride w/a friend lol.

I hope I can get my car up to show-ready before then..i'd LOVE to get another picture of her with a jet!

The F-84 on sticks on HWY3 in front of the VFW by Ellington would look cool, too. That's a pretty rare bird. Of course the F-4 at the event would be the bomb. But, alas, no F-4U "C" HOG and the show to take a pic with...*sigh*
