Default Patriot Performance GM LS6 CNC Ported 64cc Heads, 225/229 .580/.590 114 lsa Cam?

Does anyone have any experience with this head cam package? My goal is 450 at the wheels with full true dual exhaust the heads and cam and K&N FPIK. Will this get it done?

I actually purchased that package, but never installed it and have since traded it for an STS kit. Although I never ran it, I think it's gonna run a little short of your goal. I'm thinking low 400's to 420ish. Anyone else care to chime in?

Depends on the dyno..... honestly unless pigs fly and the dyno is sniffing coke off a hookers ***, you don't have a prayer in making that kind of power.

What would it take to get to the 450 range?

I'd say a little 50 shot will get you there plus some Actually I agree you will probably be a little short of your goal. With a 90/90 or 92/92 setup I would expect around 430-435. The limiting factor is mainly your cam. A good set of ported LS6 heads can support 450RWHP you just need a cam that's a little bit bigger and matched for those heads. I would contact Patrick G on here and he can spec a custom cam for you to meet your goals. FWIW on my last cam-only setup I made 427RWHP on stock LS1 heads with all bolt-ons minus an EWP and through a pacesetter Y-pipe.

You want 450 rwhp.

If you have a M6 and a 10 bolt or even a 12 bolt.

This is straight from Ron @ Vengance

VRx4 cam (228/230 under .600" lift) @ 112 LSA
Ported 90/90
TFS As Cast Heads 215
Yella Terra Rockers
With appropriate springs, pushrods, oil pump, timing chain, tune, and supporting mods which include fuel pump and #38 injectors

Will do 450-460 all day long.

There are plenty of dyno sheets to support that statement.

that cam looks like it has some decent lobes.

depending on how good the heads flow, if you milled them for more compression, ran a ported FAST, electric water pump...and had a dialed in tune.

i think you could creep up on 450rwhp....i would think 440 would be more accurate.

really boils down to the heads.

Actually the limiting factor in most setups is the heads. Your right that a good set of ported 243's will support 450rwhp, I've done that with small cams and automatics with them.

His cam isin't correct but that doesn't mean it's too small. I've had cams under 220° @ .050" do that on the right heads.

In the end unless that dyno is happy you will not make anywhere near 450rwhp with those parts out of the box.

I was also considering buying the package and swapping out the cam for this cam TR Trex 242/248 .608/.612 110+2. Good cam for the setup?

the TRex is an entirely different animal from the cam listed by the OP.

its like comparing your hometown sweetheart to the Victoria Secret Angels.
