A line lock is a solenoid that locks your front brakes when you flip a switch so you can perform a burnout/stage at the tree without rolling anywhere and without having to add wear to your rear brakes. It also helps cuz you don't have to hold your foot on the brake when you also need to be on the gas and the clutch.
