Huge Thanks too GTFORMULA and Racer383
So I went too PBIR last night, I got there nice and early with my new LS7 clutch. Got up for my first pass, held it a 4k rpms lights came down I side steped the clutch and POW! the driveshaft snapped off clean about a quarter inch from the rear weld, So I called GTFORMULA as he was leaving his house toldhim what happend. He had a "stock" one at his house. He made record time getting there with the jack and tools. We got the old one out and found the first issue, His car has a 9inch in it with a 1350 yoke, mine is a stock 7.5. After some cussin and spitting we came up with a plan, take the neddle bearings out of my stock caps and put them on the good drive shaft, second issue there was still about a quarter of a inch of play in the caps. Well you know what they say "go big of go home" GTFORMULA and Racer383 suggested filling the caps with sand, sounds crazy hu well it worked. I drove the car home(about 35 miles) and even drove it too work this morning. Im pulling it out later at work, I really want too see what the inside of the caps look like.

I still laugh about what I did to get that car going. It was either that or a long and costly tow bill. The worst part of the whole thing was that damn stripped strap bolt. I knew we had to take up the play in the caps and I looked down and saw dirt aka gap filler haha. Im glad you got it home ok. Now I just need another driveshaft for next time you go to the track.

Damn, that sucks. Glad to hear you got it back to town fine. Thought you were gonna say the clutch went, but guess DS is worse, been there done that, but on a 1000 mile road trip. I don't dare go to the track without a trailer, atleast the first few times to make sure I have all the bugs worked out of the car.
