Where to mount bottle?
Getting ready to do a TNT F1 install. Wanting to know where to mount the bottle. Is there anywhere special I need to mount it to be NHRA compliant. Also any pics of where you mounted the bottle and switch panel pics would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Jessie

I thought about mounting it where the spare is but don't want to end up with a blowout and stranded. I make quite a few trips from down here in miami to jacksonville dont really want to get stranded. Thanks for reply though. Thanks Jessie

You can mount laterally across the well, (T-Top storage area), although you might have some issues during acceleration from the liquid moving back...my friends (two of them) have theirs like that, and no problems yet..of course they are slower (right Ben!)
My NXL kit should be here this week/weekend and I will eventually mount a custom "quick" release to the rear hatch area by the tie down loops. This will let the bottle be mounted in the middle, lesses any weight bias, and give good angle etc...until then I have it mounted in spare area, used a 1"x10"x36"(maybe longer) piece of shelf board, angle cut the ends to be pressure fit in the tire well, drilled the holes to mount the bottle brackets, and painted the thing NBM. My friend used some strapping and bent it in the well, bolted it down that way.

how important is it to have the bottle at the right angle? i have the 12lb cf bottle and it is at about a 30* angle facing forward in my spare tire area. it doesnt fit all the way in like the 10lb does so i was wondering if thats a really bad idea or not

put it behind your seat with a gym bag on top and some old cloths. i doubt anyone would get suspicious unless they try to pick it up. (and who goes around picking up other peoples used gym shorts?)

I removed my back seat and mounted my bottle here. It makes it easy to turn on/off (no need for remote bottle opener) and easy to read the guage (with out remote pressure guage).
