If you haven't bought the TSP kit yet, you can always get the Bassani TD kit, lucks amazing.

I have seen the TSP kit done out the back OVER the axle, but it was once and I don't remember where I saw it.

yeah trans ams dont look good without tips. My camaro on the other hand 100% improvement i think without tips. The only answer to this question is: sell your trans am, and buy a camaro

I found the Bassani kit for 1000, which you're right it is too expensive, but you said a shop quoted you 1400...

So it is the lesser of two evils.

Hope this helps!

ss4luck's pics will tell you the truth, but i would never run an exhaust under the axle, its wayyy too little ground clearance

i can almost guarantee an exhaust leak, at the lowest point, within the first 150 speed bumps you go over

the lowest part of the exhaust is actually directly in line with the tires, so any speed bumps or bumps of any kind the pipes get lifted by the tires. ive had it for 6 months (~2,500 miles) and the only reason i had an exhaust leak was because i accidently jacked the car up without removing the back half of the exhaust and the axle knocked 2 bolts loose
