Default LS2 thermostat and housing on LS1 pump?

I need a clockable thermostat hosing for clearance issues. So I bought one of theses from Synister:
http://www.synisterproducts.com/TH.htm
It's for the 2 piece LS2 thermostat/housing. I bolted to my LS1 water pump with an LS2 thermostat and it's leaking. I thought the pumps were the same. Are they not interchangable or do I have an issue with the thermostat housing.
Synister delayed my shipment because of isues with leaking housings.

I would have to say its the housing. I have an ls2 thermostat/housing on an ls1 waterpump and it does not leak.
