Has anyone test air filters for a single turbo? I'm currently running a 4" intake pipe with a 4" K&N cone filter that's not that large. I haven't tried removing it at the track due worring about sucking something in due to the close proximity of my intake pipe to the tires.

What's the most power you've seen made through a single cone air filter?

Move your boost gauge to your inlet pipe and see how much vacuum you're pulling on a WOT run. That should give you some idea of if your filter is big enough or not.

Just interested, what K&N part # are you running?

I did 760 with the 4 inch intake and a funky powersports filter. I run the K&N now but dont see or feel a differance.

1000+rwhp with a 4" k&n probably 8" long

there was a time with twins and a pair of low priced spectre filters when we took the filters off for a run and then put them back on. no diference in numbers. that was at around 500rwhp each.

Greatly dependent on size. For instance the 10" long 5.5" inlet K&N we use for the BW turbos shows no drop in power to 1000hp.

K&N gives CFM numbers for their filters. I would guess you guys setups are passing well over 1000 cfm at WOT?
