Anyone care about MPG?
I know this sounds stupid, but does anyone on here care about gas mileage enought to track their mileage on the highway. I track mine and do a lot of highway driving. The last tank I did about 90% highway and averaged 27mpg at about 70mph. I also tracked my mileage back when the car was stock and I was barely getting 25mpg at 65mph. I guess the headers, spark plugs, wires, tune, and lighter driveshaft helped. I will have to do another 65mph comparision to see what I average.
What do you guys average when not putting the pedal down?

I love dealerships!
I cannot comment at the moment, because I just determined why my mileage had fallen from about 26 to 29 (depending on my avg. speed; 75 or 60 MPH) to about 21 - my local Chevy dealership Tech miss-connected 4 of my 8 injectors!
The labels on the 2 pin connectors clearly indicate which cylinder the connectors correspond to, but MY technician had the DR side as 3-1-5-7 and the PASS side as 2-4-8-6!!!
I found this error when I installed 38 lb injectors on my LT1 - even without the turbo installed, the thing had a lot more power (and it idled better too!).

I'm averaging about 20 highway because of my 3.73s and 80 mph equals about 2800 rpms :-p Another reason the auto. sucks sometimes :-( Around town or on my way into work though which I average 50-60 and keep the revs more reasonable, I get about 24-25.

I somehow managed an average 33mpg 90% highway last tank. 500kilometers= 310miles
Took 35 Liters to fill it right back up to full full, or 9.2 gallons.
310/9= 33.6 mpg. Doing about 120KPH or roughly 70mph. Perfect day, no wind, nice flat road

Its depressing around town, but I've checked it on a trip from NJ to Pittsburgh and I got 31 mpg I couldn't believe it. I was at 1500-1600 rpm the whole time going about 5 over (70mph). On the way back I got 30, and this trip was when gas was $4 a gallon so I was pretty pleased.

i always keep track of my mileage more to keep an eye on how well the motor is running than to get excited about my awesome fuel economy. all highway i barely squeak out 20 but city is between 10-13
