what was the stock tranny and stall for the converter in a 95 z28?

Yeah, the 4L60E. First year with the PWM solenoid.
IIRC stock stall is something ~2200, something small like that.
For a decently modded car (heads/cam like you mentioned in another thread), you'll want to get a stall in the 3200-3600 range, depending on your builds power band. You'll also greatly benefit from some 3.73 rear end gears.

The stall is lower than that, someone asked a week ago on another forum and I think it was 14-1600. I know the b-body was 1400 and it used to be popular to use a S-10 converter to get 2200 stall. If the f-body had been 2200 stall they would have used that as the V6 stall was a little fragile.
