what would cause a temp sensor to melt?
My 98 coolant temp sensor melted on my 98 camaro. I assumed it was the headers and replaced the gasket and it happened again. I made sure that it was not leaking any exhaust gases. Has anyone had this problem before?

never seen or heard of that problem. might check the connections in the plug, or make sure a wire isnt exposed and grounding out. i have seen bad connections cause a bulb to melt so i guess it could cause a sensor to melt.
