Default Fuel pump relay

I put all my harness in from speartrech and everything was great, the only problem i am having is the fuel pump isn't coming on. All the fuses have power and the wire going into the relay for the pump has power but the pump never comes on so i get no fuel, what could the problem be?

Are you getting power back to the pump? Is the pump well grounded?

The pump was working fine, and it is brand new. I had it hooked up like it was factory and it worked fine before i put in the speartech harness. I cut the hot wire to the pump and put the grey wire to it that comes from the relay. The pink relay wire has power but the grey one going out to the fuel pump doesn't get power. Can i just hook it back up to the factory wiring?

Speartech is reported to have great customer service.

Pehaps you should ask them?

Making sure that you realize that when you turn the key on, the pump is only powered for 2 seconds and then shuts off. You need to put a volt meter or test light on the gray wire and confirm that is or is not happening. Then when you start cranking the relay powers the pump up again for as long as the engine is turning.

I only bring up how it works because we've had people in the past turn the key on, get out of the car and walk back to the rear and say the pump isn't on.

If the pump isn't coming on at all, check and see if the relay clicks on for 2 seconds, and if not, check the green wire to the relay for the same condition.

If not check for harness damage from installation.

It all worked perfect here when we ran the harness/PCM on an engine.

well i was missing a ground so now everything has power but still doesn't start. I am not sure what i am missing yet i will mess with it tommorow. I put in a fuel pump from a 96 vortec pickup I was told that would work, hope I am right. It kinda fires but not start. Any tips or advice that I may have missed.

i used a 2 line in and one line out fuel filter from an expedition instead of the exspensive one from a corvette, is this okay or is that why I am not getting any fuel pressure.

That fuel filter is probably the problem. The vette fuel filter has a fuel pressure regulator also. That ford one probably does not have a regulator, so it would just let the fuel flow right back to the tank with 0 pressure.
