Default Drive shaft ...BOOM!!

Went to the track tonight and staged up dropped the hammer and twisted it like a pretzel is this normal? I have been playing with the air pressure in the Bfg's and I found that 14psi it hooks like a ****.

Time for a cromoly driveshaft. Did you have a safety loop?

Its a funny thing, Ive seen stock cars break or twist them and Ive seen cars go tens on them. Dont get it.
Call Speed Inc>>>>> They have a nice Drive shaft. I had one, and it went threw 2 blown rears, and it was the only thing still good.

Driveshafts are like gambling...some win and some don't. There are many f-bodies running 10s with the stock shaft and cutting 1.5 or better 60fts. I have cut a 1.6 already on my stock shaft and that was on ET streets. Then there are some guys who shred the shaft with only bolt-ons...all depends on your luck!

I think it really all depends on your launch and the tires you use. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

Buddy of mine snapped his T56 main shaft on a 6k+ dump on slicks. Tail housing busted open. Stock driveshaft was still in one piece. But after rattling around the loop (and bending some of the weights), he replaced it anyway.

Me, I run a Dennys NR. My stock DS is now in my 94Z.
