Default Quick question

How long will the trans last if i put a converter in it? Sorry for the real vauge question but im going down the list of things to do and its almost next in line.

The car has got 144k on it and so does the powertrain. When i got it tuned the shift points were changed and has firmer shifts. The thing is i have no problems at all with shifting. It does not slip at all. It makes me think that if i put a converter in it and cooler that it would be ok...for a little while lol.

The goal is to put the 6l80 in but since i havnt won the lottery yet, or get govnt bailout, so im stuck with the 4l60 for a little while.

With a 144K I would not recommend installing a converter. That unit at best definitely has some clutches in it that could use some attention. Vince
