Either one of the Strange center cases will be stronger than any of the factory production ford cases (except the ford motorsport case). The Strange budget 'S' case is rated to 800 horsepower, and their other case is rated much higher than that.

If I were you I'd also step up the the 3.25" bearing case so you could upgrade to 35 spline axles at some point down the road. It doesn't cost any more except the larger bearings are little more expensive.

If you switch from a 33 spline to a 35 spline, you'll need a 35 spline spool! Also, with a 35 spline setup you will need a 3.25" carrier case, and of course new axles... Stick to 33 spline, you'll be fine. I have the stange aluminum 3.25" case, 4.00 ratio gears and a spool (35 spline) with the summit racing aluminum pinion support. I used flea-bay and summit racing personally...

You can step up to the 3.25" bearing case and still use your current axles/spool. You will just need the larger 3.25" outside diameter bearings for the spool, which, if you broke gears you'll probably want to replace your current bearings anyway.

FWIW, If I were in your shoes, there's really no reason not to step up the bearing size.

are the bigger ones really stronger? its a turbo setup so i dont think it will be shocking the rear that hard. the stock cast case just seemed to weak in general.

Any time you can go with a larger bearing to distribute the load better is a good thing IMO. The real question is, why wouldn't you?
