Default LT1 wiring guru's


does anyone have an idea on what this module is? Its got some pretty extreme wiring going to it and its pretty light. It was attached to the middle of the front firewall.

What year is your car and Camaro or T/A? Might help narrow it down.

I'm pretty sure that thing in the picture is what sits near my PCM in my '97 SS. But I honestly don't know what it is.

Might be the control box for the DRLs.

purple wire makes me think VATS unit (im assuming its on the inside of the firewall from your description)

Yes inside the car, middle of the firewall from side to side and mounted towards the top and the wires run into the upper wiring harness that goes from door to door. I'm starting to believe its for the window motors. It has a relay and little circuit board inside it.

VATS module, almost certain, its not a seperate part of the harness, its simply redirected into the module, gotta be VATS

Thats what we were leaning too, the picture makes it hard to soo the wire is not purple, its lighter blue. We already experienced cutting some purple wires and working around the VATS system. fun fun when it just cranks no start.

ahh ok, thought the wire was purple, good to know
