Default New Oil Pump Or No?

I am going H/C/I full bolt ons with my 02 SS. The car has 11k miles on it and I was considering swapping the stock pump for the GMPP LS6 Pump. Since its pretty much the stock pump and the car is so low mileage do I really need to swap oil pumps?

Thanks,

Jeff

I would say not to worry about it...I have actually never seen an oil pump fail. All that is in there is two metal "gears" And then your releif spring.

I definately wouldn't.. I wouldnt expect the pump you have to fail in the next 100k+ miles or so, so the cheap insurance is probably just a little waste of money.
