Default LS2 timing chain, I hope its good enough!

I am currently in the middle of my cam install TSP228 & PRC dual spring kit, hardened pushrods. A lot of people here said get an LS2 timing chain so I did. The stock timing chain had some slack, but so does this new LS2 chain. Maybe its normal, first time working with these engines so not sure. Almost wish I got the double roller. I say that because I am thinking the springs I got may be hard on the timing chain. Its a little bit heavier than the LS1 chain but not by much. Anyone run into problems with one of these?

The one is going in mine and a lot of the guys with LS1 built and LS2 built running mid to large cams is the In Motion Double LS2 Double-Roller timing kit

That is the way to go.

Thanks guys for the assurance on this chain. I got the car back together & running today. I have to help it stay running at first but after that, it will idle. Of course the car runs strong & pulls hard So I get on here & start reading this post on degreeing a cam https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...egree-cam.html

So anyone running a stock LS2 chain degreeing their cam? I am just wondering, should I degree mine before I have it dynotuned? I guess I will know if it dynos low after the tune right? I dunno, I am amazed how good mine runs without a tune, I probably shouldnt be that concerned but now I will always be thinking about it if it was manufactured a few deg off.
