86 Iroc built 700r4 with 2800 stall and built 4th gen 10 bolt with 3.73s

engine is going to be a SBC 388 stroker with gm casting heads that he hand ported, comp cam 240/246 .507/.510, CR will be 11.1

its set up for spray but ill be running him NA
hes pretty much full weight

im full bolt ons minus ls6 intake, 12 bolt rear with 4.11s on BFG sports

any info you need just let me know and ill fill in the gaps... my honest guess is with DRs were both low 12s- which is why im asking you guys cuz for me its too close to call

If you launch the piss out of it, you might be able to make a 11 sec pass....DA and 60 depending. 99_28 ran a 11.9 at 112 in his stalled auto. I think if you can knock down a good 1.6 or 1.7 60', you could hit that time also. I have no idea about old SBC, so I can't comment on him. I hope you beat him though. Get a ls6 intake for sure man.

99_z28 is cammed though isnt he- i think im good for 12.2 with a 1.7 60' and the ls6... DA permitting and some perfect driving 12.0x would be awesome- i dont see 11s as she shits though

He has a baby cam...he only trapped 112 and a best of 114 IIRC. A strong, full bolt on m6 can trap 110+. As you sit, I would concur with your 12.2 with a 1.7 60'. Maybe around 109 or so. What are the typical DA's around there?

thats not bad at all, 1300 would only really make your time about .1-.15 difference at most.

but of coarse Atco is supposed to be one of the faster better prepped tracks IIRC so you would probably run a tad faster there.

I use to have a 78 2nd gen with a simular setup but it was only a 355ci, it had 11.1 comp. home ported/matched heads, 510 lift cam, 1 7/8 headers. 700cfm dbl pmr. M4 3.73 rear. Never had it dyno'd or ran it on the track but if I had to guess it would run a mid 12. With him being a lighter turd gen, auto and a 383 he should be faster than that. It should be close....depends on his setup and if it was done right. Gl and take some video!

haha thanks, the bottom end was built right (because i sent him all the links for his parts lmao) but the top end and drive train is his weak link

vid prob wont be for a while, he stil needs to built the 10 bolt and 700r4 that hes got, and the motor is still a bare block

2nd gens and third gens are close in weight........my brother has oned both.

He has a 383 12:1 CR, victor JR heads (going to Dart with the new build) 3.73s factory 3 spd auto and runs 12.0 on MT ETs.
