Default milling 806 heads

ok. can I go 35mm? and what decrease in combustion chamber area? And what about a compression change with a stock Ls1 block? And any fitment issues with 1 3/4 inch headers. Also what will there be as far as a temp change..and any issues there. thx for ANY input, Mike

Looks like milling .035" inch will provide a 10.65:1 compression, with is to say, about 5cc smaller than stock on those heads. That nets slightly better than 243 castings, stock.

Depending on the cam/spring combo, all I would think to be worried about is piston/valve clearance issues.

It's not looking like a ridiculous deck. Should put the heads at ~64 cc chambers.

Interessant... Correct me if I'm wrong, here.

Milling right around .007 is equivalent to removing 1cc of material from the combustion chambers.

If you mill much more than .050", intake fitment starts to become an issue. I had mine milled around .045 I believe, it came out to 61 cc chambers and it is at 10.98:1 with 4 cc valve reliefs in the pistons.
